The Difference Between Focus On Problem and Focus On Solutions


I get this article from a colleague a few years ago. Yes, it's been a long time, and I found this article unintentionally when I'm clean up the files on my notebook.

I think it is useful for sharing to the readers of leadershipmojo.tk. The original article in Indonesian, so I need to first translate into English. The original source is unknown.

Case 1


When NASA sent astronauts into space, they found that it turns the pen can not be used in zero gravity (ink will not be drawn out). To solve this problem, they do research for more than one decade and a cost of $ 12 million.

They designed a pen that can be used in zero gravity, facing upwards, even in the water, on any surface (including glass) and cold temperatures of 300 degrees Celsius below zero.

Case 2


One of the most famous case studies in Japanese management is an empty soap box case, which occurred in the largest cosmetic companies in Japan.

The company received complaints from consumers that they are buying the soap that was empty.

With customer complaints, the section immediately went to the field towards the product packaging. Product packaging section is the last line of the production process before towards the delivery of the product.

They later found out that it was also empty soap boxes that pass through the packaging department, with some reason.

Management then asked his engineers to solve this problem. The engineers conducted experiments. They worked very hard and finally found the X-ray machine with high-resolution which is operated by two people to observe all the soapbox passing, to ensure that the soap box is not empty.

No doubt the results they achieve. They have worked very hard and fast, but they also spend not a small cost.

In the other place, a company with a much smaller scale find similar issues. But they do not use X-ray machines that are very complicated and expensive. They try to split in different ways.

They bought a special fan very strong and put it at a point in the packaging department. Once the fan is turned on, then any empty soap box and past the fan will soon blow away.

1. Don't Make Bad Loans 


Before I explain what a bad loan, I will first explain about the good loans.
A good loan is when you use it to invest that will add value, such as loans for education or loans to businesses. Loans for a good education because education will increase your ability. General advice that we often hear about how to get happiness is by changing our attitude or habit. It's very precise, but sometimes in certain situations, we need a quick and easy way to immediately elevate our mentality from the downturn.

Below is a list of methods on how you can find happiness in just 5 minutes, following an explanation of how each of these methods works.

1. Write a list of thanks

- Take a piece of paper.
- Rewind your brain since you woke up this morning to write to you at this time.

2. Celebrate the release of flavor you shackled

7 Habits That NOT Highly Effective

You may already have read the book by Stephen R. Covey, entitled 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which is also one of the international best sellers. If you've never read it, I highly recommend the book to you. Textbooks you need to have if you want to develop your personality. You can get them at stores your favorite book.

If you ever try something new and fail, I am sure that you are someone that is palatable to me than talk to people who feel like everything is going well or fine.

People like that in my opinion, has never tried anything new. But you are a different person ...... you know from where I know? .... Because you visited my blog and read my articles, which means you want to change your life to be better than today. You want to find something new that you can apply in your life.

You have the spirit and I am sure you also have a tremendous life experience. Maybe it's a lot of failure that you feel and maybe some of you have been to the extent of your own free will confidence to achieve what you want. Can I? Did I? Of these people, many consider that the difficulties they face as a bad luck or destiny - but I emphasize here: not everyone. Some of them also faced enormous obstacles in their lives and are still struggling to achieve something they've dreamed of. They rise above their shortcomings and do not let the lack of them that limit them to go forward.

Do you have important targets you want to achieve in your life where to start you just worked hard? Or targets that you have tried several times to reach it but always fails. To the extent that you think, there are areas in your life that you can not seem to succeed.

The problem may be that you try to change too quickly or too far. I am here going to try to share the experience how to do a permanent change. This process obviously takes time. I can not give you a way how to make changes in the 'overnight' because I have never done it and I thought it was not possible.

Maybe they feel duty very accumulate or very difficult to do so they are frustrated and stressed. Finally they stopped working, or at least they think to stop.

3. Avoid doing many tasks at once.


Some people have wanted to quickly finish the job nature. This trait is actually good, but less good is if it is practiced by performing multiple tasks simultaneously. 4. Take a break and have fun

Do things that are fun, like watching a movie, go to a favorite restaurant, chatting, or get together with your friends.

Really forget total! When you return to your duties, I am sure you will be more relaxed, refreshed and motivated to continue.

5. Take some time off.


Rest again? Yes, but this time is a short break. After you have worked for 40-45 minutes, take a break light for 3-5 minutes. Your suggested slightly away from your work area.

Briefly how it works is as follows: after the brain analyzes the words and the body language of our speaker, the brain sends a message to us, which will make us react positively or negatively as suspicion, belief or doubt.
